Nearly four and a half months after the previous coach's initial media briefing as the club's manager, his replacement Danny Rohl met with reporters at Rangers' stadium for the initial occasion.

The magnitude of the task ahead of him is well known, given Martin's chaotic and disappointing four-month spell.

The former Sheffield Wednesday boss was joined by club chairman Andrew Cavenagh, along with the frequently questioned pair of sporting director Kevin Thelwell and chief executive Patrick Stewart.

But what exactly was revealed from the young German's first public appearance as the club's manager?

Rohl's Primary Focus - Victory Comes First

One thing came through clearly from the new coach's initial presentation in front of the local press - he understands the need to win matches, and do so quickly.

His predecessor Russell Martin managed just 17 matches and 123 days in charge, so the inquiry arose about how long Rohl believes is realistic to turn around the struggling squad.

Although deftly avoiding a specific response that could bring future pressure, the coach's communication was very evident.

"With hope as soon as possible," he said. "This is essential.
"In football you have not much time. You can discuss long-term vision but it's understood it's about immediate results and that period involves winning games. This is what I demand.
"One thing is also clear - I require all players to comprehend our intended to perform. I come back to my main theme: it's winning, it's attractive and it's together. If you follow this order, I'm convinced that I'll stay very long at the club."

Pressure is Normal

The previous manager needed security protection to leave the Falkirk Stadium after his last game in charge.

We've seen how toxic environments can turn at sports teams when performances decline. Protests have almost become an expected aspect of game day experience on both sides of the city currently.

As the club's most youthful ever head coach, the question asked about which attributes the coach thinks he possesses that would enable him to handle, let alone excel, in one of the highest-pressure roles in UK soccer?

"In my opinion expectations in this business is normal," he commented. "You must learn that very quickly.
"I believe certain individuals might mention my youth but I have been a decade and a half in this career. I had a great opportunity to be at the German club and serve as only an assistant coach, but I experienced what it means to manage a team and the pressure you face.
"You begin getting results and then certain people claim you must produce entertaining football. That's the next stage but that's exactly my intention. I relish those expectations and I'm excited for the future."

The Sporting Director Explains Striker Acquisition & Hiring His Son

Kevin Thelwell media conference

There were plenty of inquiries from journalists directed at Thelwell.

Significant attention has concerned the hiring of his son as head of recruitment, with supporters unconvinced about his credentials for the role.

Nevertheless, he defended and clarified the decision to bring his son to the club.

"It's always uncomfortable to hear and in appearance I think we all agreed when we took this decision to appoint Robbie that he would be viewed negatively," Thelwell stated.
"The reality of the situation is that we want to bring the very best talent to this club.
"My perspective on his professional path and situation is he didn't need my assistance in football.
"He served at Villa as head scout, after which he moved to Norwich City as scouting chief and then got promoted to development role.
"Prior to our recruited him, multiple Premier League teams sought to sign him. Our approach from the beginning of proceedings was discuss with the CEO, the chairman and vice-chairman Marathe about this matter.
"I was extremely open and I believe Robbie probably underwent a stricter procedure than any other who's employed by this football club.
"What I do know is that he will work 25/8 to achieve success for Rangers and I'm looking forward seeing him proving that he's going to be a valuable staff member for Rangers."

Additionally, Thelwell defended the signing of forward Chermiti, who arrived at Rangers for an alleged first payment of £8m, after failing to score in 24 appearances for his previous club.

It was Thelwell who brought the Portuguese youth international to Liverpool from Sporting - once more for significant money in a £15m deal.

He was asked if he supports his multi-million pound signing, who hasn't yet register in seven outings for the club.

"Yes, completely," Thelwell responded. "I believe Youssef Chermiti is a player who's got great ability.
"I've never doubted him in any way. Similarly, I believe the manager will help to maximize the potential out of the player.
"These are initial stages for the young player, he remains young talent and naturally with inexperienced players they sometimes take time.
"But I'm certain throughout of his career here he'll demonstrate that he is very, very good footballer."

The CEO Understands Supporters' Frustration and Anger

The chief executive was facing scrutiny, given the criticism that has been directed at him by certain of the club's fans.

There was even a sign in the Sandy Jardine stand during the recent draw with Dundee United suggesting him - and Thelwell - to depart before they were packed for him.

Similar to the sporting director, the CEO did not evade the issue.

"I completely appreciate the disappointment and anger that the supporters are feeling because results this season haven't met expectations and nobody's happy with them," he said.
"The hurt and disappointment they feel is mirrored inside the leadership.
"Also understand that there must exist an outlet for that dissatisfaction and in my role, that's me.
"I'm a focal point for such issues and my role as a
